Reform UK says that, if elected, it would deport foreign national offenders from British prisons and seek to rent prison places in El Salvador or Kosovo where their home governments refuse to receive them. Party chairman Lee Anderson is expected to lead a delegation to El Salvador for feasibility discussions later this year. The proposal comes as revised early-release rules are due to begin in October, with approximately 5,000 prisoners expected to be released earlier over ten months.
