Anxiety is more than just a feeling, it's your brain's phenomenal ability to mentally prepare you for something before it even happens. This talk reframes anxiety through exploring the neuroscience and psychology behind it, and behind chronesthesia, the brain's incredible ability to mentally time travel, ultimately revealing the truth behind anxiety: that it’s not as bad as we think. Eden, like most juniors in high school, is extremely familiar with the universal feeling of anxiety. As one of the most common mental health disorders worldwide, she hopes to provide new insight and understanding into why anxiety may not be the villain it is often perceived as, but rather, how it can become something much greater through the use of her own experiences and research. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
