Painting a bathroom isn’t complicated, but the prep work and painting technique make a huge difference in the final finish. In this video, I’ll show you how I prep, prime, and paint bathroom walls and ceilings so you get a smooth, professional-looking result without drywall scratches, roller fibers, dirt, or obvious touch-ups. I’ll walk you through how to sand drywall properly, why I remove loose fibers from a new paint roller before using it, how to choose the right drywall primer, and why I often roll first and brush afterward. I’ll also show you the direction I roll my primer and paint in relation to the window to help create a more consistent finish. For bathroom walls, I’m using a 100% acrylic eggshell paint. Once the first coats are dry, I inspect the walls for dents, grooves, and imperfections, fill any problem areas with interior crown molding caulking, lightly sand them, and touch them up with a mini roller before applying the final coat.
