A new front is opening in Yemen as Houthi attacks push the country’s fragile truce closer to collapse. Houthi forces have launched ballistic missiles at the Red Sea city of Al-Makha and its port, while residential areas in Marib have also come under attack. The escalation follows a drone strike targeting a Saudi oil refinery and has killed at least 11 people in Mokha. The Houthis have deep military ties with Iran, which provides weapons, training and intelligence support. As fighting intensifies, the conflict is once again threatening key shipping routes around the Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
