Writer and academic Andrew Tettenborn joins Julia Hartley-Brewer to discuss the growing controversy surrounding former Cambridge professor Jason Arday. Britain’s largest teaching union, the National Education Union, has now distanced itself from an open letter which previously described allegations of plagiarism against Mr Arday as a “smear campaign” and “entirely false”. The union says its general secretary signed the letter based on the information available at the time and now believes there should be a “fair and transparent investigation”. The row comes after Cambridge launched an investigation into allegations that Mr Arday copied others’ work and invented previous academic posts. He subsequently resigned, saying the “personal cost” had been too great. #jasonarday #cambridgeuniversity #cambridge #education #news Have you got a story?
