Georgios Poulos became one of the most controversial Greek collaborators of the Second World War. After the German invasion of Greece in 1941, he aligned himself with the occupation authorities and later formed the Poulos Verband, a collaborationist battalion that operated alongside German forces during anti-partisan campaigns in northern Greece. Although presented as a force fighting communist resistance groups, the unit soon became associated with reprisals against civilians, widespread looting, village destruction, and other abuses that left a lasting mark on occupied Greece. This documentary follows Poulos's life from his early military career and participation in the turbulent politics of interwar Greece to his dismissal from the Hellenic Army after the failed Venizelist coup of 1935.
