The mother of 29-year-old Tasia Fortune, who police found hanging from a tree in Mississippi, says her daughter was not suicidal, according to CNN affiliate WAPT. Fortune’s death has sparked concerns and questions from the community. Police have not indicated whether they consider the death suspicious, saying they are actively working “to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.”
