Firefighters rescued a 35-year-old man trapped under the rubble in Cali after a major earthquake struck Colombia on Monday. Rescue efforts are continuing across western Colombia after the country’s most powerful earthquake in decades killed at least 250 people. Emergency crews have worked through the night, digging through collapsed buildings and flattened homes in the search for survivors. The magnitude 7.4 quake caused widespread damage in cities including Pereira, Cali and Manizales. Authorities fear the death toll could rise further as police, soldiers and volunteers continue searching the rubble.
