Kisumu residents prepare for El Niño rains as flood threat looms

A day after the government listed 18 counties at high risk of El Niño-induced flooding, residents in some of the affected areas have begun preparations. In Kisumu, residents of Kapuotho have resorted to remodelling their houses to withstand potential flooding, with some calling on the government to establish evacuation centres. Laura Otieno reports on the efforts by locals as the country braces for the El Niño rains.
