"Clipping" is the latest online job for which people claim to earn up to six figures by editing other people's content. Influencers and brands are employing people to cut and publish short-form clips across social media to game the algorithm and go viral. Some researchers estimate clipping campaigns could account for as much as 40% of all social media content. Clipper Emrah Bayraktar says he's made more than $130,000 from clipping. But experts say it's difficult to verify the true finances of this emerging industry and that it may be the latest in a long line of trendy online jobs promoted as a money-making opportunity.
