तमिलनाडु विधानसभा ने बुधवार, 12 अगस्त 2026 को एक प्रस्ताव पारित कर केंद्र सरकार से लोकसभा की मौजूदा 543 सीटों को बरकरार रखने और राज्यों के बीच सीटों के मौजूदा अनुपात को बनाए रखने की मांग की। प्रस्ताव में 2029 के लोकसभा चुनाव और उसके बाद होने वाले विधानसभा चुनावों में 33% Women Reservation को बिना देरी लागू करने की भी मांग की गई। मुख्यमंत्री C.
