What happens when you take the magic of an old-school 80s blockbuster, throw an ordinary suburban family into absolute chaos, and then unleash DINOSAURS into their neighborhood? The End of Oak Street is here, and I absolutely LOVED this movie. In my The End of Oak Street movie review, I’m diving into David Robert Mitchell’s new dinosaur adventure starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, and why this ended up being one of the most fun theatrical experiences I’ve had this year. The film follows the Platt family after a mysterious cosmic event transports their suburban neighborhood somewhere unknown—and suddenly they are trying to survive in a world filled with dinosaurs. This is exactly the kind of original dinosaur movie I have been wanting. Obviously, it is impossible to watch a movie filled with dinosaurs and not think about Jurassic Park, but The End of Oak Street has its own identity. David Robert Mitchell brings the same distinct filmmaking style that made It Follows and Under
