Andy Burnham has urged all retailers to withdraw disposable barbecues from sale in an effort to prevent wildfires as the heatwave continues. The Prime Minister urged "retailers big and small" to pull the barbecues from their shelves as he warned extreme heat conditions "could be with us for some weeks yet". His comments came after he chaired a meeting of the government’s emergency Cobra committee in response to the prolonged spell of exceptionally hot and dry weather. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on X: https://twitter.com/itvnews
