Residents of Gronant in North Wales say they were blindsided after discovering that 13 of 15 new homes in the village had been taken over to house asylum seekers. Locals claim they were not properly consulted and only discovered what was happening when asylum seekers arrived by minibus. The row has sparked a petition and concerns over housing, local services and the lack of transparency surrounding the decision.
