Denmark could expand border controls within hours, and ultimately check everyone entering the country, if there are signs that migrants from Spain's recent Ceuta crossings are moving north through Europe, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen told parliament. Frederiksen criticised Spain's migration policy and backed an EU-wide “emergency brake” allowing countries to close borders during exceptional migration pressure.
