The government is set to seek an expedited investigation into the serious incident involving Air India flight AI2379 from Phuket to Delhi. The August 4 flight experienced a sudden loss of altitude, prompting an investigation by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau. An interim report could be submitted within a month as investigators examine the aircraft, crew actions and other circumstances surrounding the incident. The incident has attracted additional scrutiny after the captain's initial post-flight screening indicated psychoactive substances, prompting confirmatory testing. Both pilots were taken off roster pending the investigation. The initial screening by itself should not be presented as proof that the pilot was impaired or that it caused the altitude loss. #AirIndia #AI2379 #AAIB #AviationSafety #AirIndiaNews #Aviation #IndiaNews #NDTVProfit For more videos subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@NDTVProfitIndia Visit NDTV Profit for more news: https://www.
