More than 80,000 people have crossed the Channel since Labour came to power – equivalent to one arrival every 14 minutes, according to figures reported by The Sun. Julia Hartley-Brewer is joined by Robert Bates, Research Director at the Centre for Migration Control, to discuss the Channel crisis, people smugglers and the Government’s response. The discussion comes after a mega-dinghy carried 230 people across the Channel in a single crossing, while around 3,000 have arrived since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister. #illegalimmigration #smallboats #asylumseekers #andyburnham Have you got a story?
