The Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Institute partners with AI data labelers in the Global South to expose how they are overworked and underpaid. “It's really important to make sure that the voices of the people who are negatively impacted are elevated and they're the ones telling their stories,” says Timnit Gebru, the founder of the DAIR Institute.
