The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered finally makes its way to the Switch 2. And just like the 2025 version, Oblivion remastered brings everything old people like me loved about the original game to a new generation of consoles with vastly improved graphics, gameplay, and a ton of other quality of life features. The Switcha 2 port makes that even better by allowing you to play the game on the go While the Switch 2 port isn’t the prettiest version of the game because it’s a handheld. It holds up surprisingly well when compared to a PC running a an RTX 5090 and its console counterparts. On the switch 2 you’ll get the game running at a pretty stable 30fps in both docked and handheld modes with Handheld outputting the game at 900p and docked hitting 1080p thanks to DLSS. That being said it's lowest point is the long load times. In our testing we were seeing some load screens last over 20 seconds on the Switch 2.
