I just stepped out of the theater after watching The End of Oak Street, and I’m definitely leaving with mixed feelings. Anne Hathaway gives an absolutely stellar performance here—she’s magnetic, fully committed, and easily the best part of the entire movie. Honestly, she elevates every single scene she’s in. But even a performance that good can’t completely carry a plot this chaotic. As the movie goes on, the storyline gets increasingly nonsensical and struggles to pull its ideas together.
