Students across England, Wales and Northern Ireland have received A-level, T-level and BTEC exam results today, with the proportion of top A-level grades rising for the third year in a row. More than a quarter (28.5%) of UK entries were awarded an A or A* grade, up by 0.2% percentage points on last year. Students in Northern Ireland scored the highest, with 30.7% of grades being A or A*s, above Wales at 29.6% and England at 28.3%. Boys outperformed girls in terms of top grades again, after doing so for the first time in seven years last year.
