What if the Himalayas were never a wall? What if, beneath the snow, stone, and silence, they held evidence of journeys that began thousands of years ago? From markings on boulders to traces buried beneath the earth, this journey follows fragments that refuse to stay separate. Somewhere along the way, the mountains begin to tell a very different story. Dr. Ekta Singh is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Roorkee, specializing in Himalayan Archaeology, History, and Trans-Himalayan heritage. She holds a PhD in Archaeology from HNB Garhwal University and has presented her research internationally at Oxford, Ireland, Italy, and Vietnam. A contributor to five international research projects and author of 13 publications, her work bridges archaeology, environmental history, and interdisciplinary heritage studies. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/
