It begins with a box, a few delicate threads, and something almost forgotten. From there emerges a story about a craft that travelled quietly across generations, only to find itself at risk of disappearing. But bringing something back to life is rarely as simple as preserving it. Sometimes, survival requires changing the way we look at what we inherited. Stuti Garg is a graduate of Banasthali Vidyapith and works in the craft sector to bridge artisans, design, and markets. She is the co-founder of Knots to Node, a mother-daughter venture dedicated to preserving and reimagining the rare craft of tatting. Her work focuses on craft revival through storytelling and community engagement, bringing visibility and contemporary relevance to handmade traditions and artisans. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
