Who gets to tell the story of a people, and what happens when that story is told by someone else? In “Who Will Tell My Story?”, Michael Ejoor explores the importance of owning our narratives, challenging stereotypes and telling our stories from our own perspective. Through the power of film, music, fashion and language, he examines how Nigerian and African creativity can shape the way the world sees us. At its heart, the talk is a call to embrace our identity and use our voices intentionally. Because being different in a world of billions is not something to hide, it is something to express, preserve and share. And as the presentation reminds us, if you don’t tell your story, someone else will, and they probably won’t tell it the way you would.
