MCK launches guidelines for 2027 election coverage

The Media Council of Kenya has today launched election coverage guidelines, a new framework to guide journalists and newsrooms in reporting during the 2027 General Election period. The council noted the need for further training of journalists ahead of the elections, with Chairman Maina Muiruri saying 60 per cent of journalists in Kenya will be covering an election for the first time.
