Nigel Farage’s emphatic Clacton victory has strengthened his anti-establishment appeal and could boost Reform UK at the next general election, columnist Ross Clark has argued. Farage increased his reported vote share from 46% to 62%, despite controversy surrounding a £5 million gift and his absence from the count. Speaking to David Bull, Ross rejected claims that the result represented a hollow victory, noting that Farage secured more votes even as overall turnout fell. He said Count Binface had effectively become the principal anti-Farage candidate after the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats declined to stand. Have you got a story?
