A proposed weapons transfer could send thousands of US-origin cluster munitions from Turkish stockpiles to Ukraine as the war with Russia continues. The reported package includes 70 M-39 ATACMS missiles, 2,524 M-26 rockets and 47,000 M509A1 203-mm artillery projectiles, with the package reportedly valued at around $256 million. Because the weapons are US-origin defence articles, Turkey requires Washington's approval before transferring them to Ukraine. In this video, we tell you why Ankara is seeking this transfer, why the move is controversial and whether it could help Ukraine.
