Fear rarely arrives with a warning. It settles quietly, laying one brick at a time until the walls around us feel like home. In this deeply personal talk, I reflect on how a childhood experience with fear slowly expanded into social anxiety, silence, and the habit of shrinking myself to fit the expectations of others. But the greatest realization wasn’t that fear had trapped me—it was that I had unknowingly handed it the blueprint. The stories we repeatedly tell ourselves eventually become the walls we live within, and the voices we hear long enough often begin to sound like our own. Through humor, vulnerability, and honest reflection, I explore why courage is not the disappearance of fear but the decision to stop letting it author our identity.
