Anita Mendiratta, special advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Aviation and Tourism Development, spoke to CGTN Europe. She noted this represents a significant moment for global aviation as the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) enters the aircraft supply chain, offering complementary options in a market with high demand and limited supply. However, COMAC remains in early stages, Anita noted, facing challenges with delivery timelines and dependence on external supply chains for critical components. The C919, which competes with Boeing's 737 MAX and Airbus's New Engine Option (NEO) aircraft, presents promise for sustainable aviation, but COMAC must overcome regulatory and quality assurance hurdles to expand its customer base beyond China. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnew
