At least 5 people are dead after a powerful magnitude-7.8 earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Indonesia, bringing down buildings and triggering an early tsunami alert. The epicentre of the quake was 68 kilometres off the north coast of Flores Island, near the town of Ende. Authorities are still searching through the rubble for survivors, with fears the death toll may rise.
