Democratic Representative Greg Casar of Texas says AI CEOs should testify before Congress about employment and national security concerns surrounding the technology. Rep. Casar argues data center projects should be blocked if they raise electricity bills or otherwise harm the communities where they’re built. He discusses legislation that would impose a tax on large AI companies and increase the rate as unemployment rises, with revenue used to support a federal jobs program. Rep. Casar also says Democrats should focus on working people and argues Republican efforts to label Democrats communists are a familiar political tactic that won’t work. He speaks with Joe Mathieu and Kailey Leinz on the late edition of Bloomberg’s "Balance of Power." -------- More on Bloomberg Television and Markets Like this video?
