A train has derailed in Essex, just 24 hours after two passengers were seriously injured in a separate derailment. The second incident happened in Wickford in Essex on Friday at 2.12pm, said British Transport Police, adding that there were no reported injuries. Photos from the scene appear to show the train upright and the rear carriages sitting off the tracks. Network Rail has reassured people that it is safe to travel. Train operator Greater Anglia said on its website: "We are gathering reports of reports of an incident between Southend Victoria and Wickford. We are currently awaiting further details and will provide updates as soon as possible." • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on X
