Kenyan exporters eye return of duty-free US access

Kenyan exporters could regain duty-free access to the United States until the end of 2028, after the US Senate approved an extension of the African Growth and Opportunity Act. The decision offers fresh hope to manufacturers that have faced tariffs and uncertainty since the programme expired in September last year. The legislature must, however, complete the remaining approval process before taking effect
