From the 5th of August to the 14th of August, Taiwan carried out nation-wide anti-China drills. The war games included live-fire drills, evacuation drills, Nuclear, Radioactive and Chemical Decontamination with troops, tanks and fighter jets taking part throughout the nearly 10-day long exercise. Taiwan's President Lai Ching-Te also took part in the drills. He was seen wearing a bullet-proof vest and ballistic helmet while inspecting Taiwan's troops. Taiwan also deployed its US-made M1 Abrams Tanks along with US-made HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery System) which included the ATACMS (Army Tactical Mobile System) launcher. Taiwan's armed forces also used its French-Made Mirage fighter jets for air patrol dills.
