Sabaot, Bukusu and Iteso seek unity and reconciliation

Centuries-old divisions and conflicts were symbolically laid to rest in Trans Nzoia County, where members of the Sabaot community, joined by their Bukusu and Iteso neighbours, gathered for a traditional cleansing ritual. Marked by animal sacrifices, traditional brew and ancestral songs, the ceremony sought to heal old wounds, break the cycle of historical conflict and usher in a new era of unity, reconciliation and peace.
