The USS Abraham Lincoln is finally heading home after a grueling deployment, but questions over the toll on its crew continue to grow. CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper visited the carrier as it prepares to return, praising sailors for what he called one of the most operationally intense deployments of the modern era. Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao said the crew spent more than 200 days in a combat zone and carried out more than 10,000 sorties. Cao also acknowledged a small number of mental-health cases, limited calls home and adjusted meals when resupply was unavailable.
