A sea of flowers is covering Brussels’ historic Grand-Place this week as the Belgian capital welcomes the 2026 edition of its iconic Flower Carpet. The 2026 carpet draws inspiration from Japan and is based on a reinterpretation of Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai’s famous woodblock print, "The Great Wave off Kanagawa."
