Some of the closest stars to Earth have been sitting in our cosmic neighborhood for our entire history — yet most humans have never seen them. Within just 20 light-years of Earth, our stellar neighborhood is packed with stars and star-like objects. But only a small fraction are bright enough to see with the naked eye. The reason has nothing to do with them being too far away. In this video, we travel door to door through the stars closest to the Sun: Proxima Centauri, Barnard’s Star, Wolf 359, Ross 128, Sirius, Tau Ceti, Epsilon Eridani, and some of the strangest brown dwarfs ever discovered.
