President Donald Trump is increasingly seeing the war in Iran as a “headache” and a “political liability,” The New York Times’ Zolan Kanno-Youngs says, noting recent reporting. “He’s searching for ways to get out of a war that he started, and that has gone on far longer than he initially, at least, said that it would go on for," Kanno-Youngs told Washington Week moderator Jeffrey Goldberg. Kanno-Youngs added that goals  have shifted from what the president “laid out when he initially made the case, belatedly, to go to war with Iran.” Washington Week with the Atlantic is a partnership between @newshour, @wetavfm and @theatlantic, airing every Friday on PBS stations nationwide.
