Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, sending the aircraft into the Persian Gulf. The claim came after U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Larak Island, which Washington said were being prepared to threaten shipping by deploying sea mines in the strategic waterway. Iran vowed retaliation and later reported attacks on U.S. positions. The reported MQ-9 shootdown has not been independently confirmed, while Washington has not acknowledged the loss. The latest developments highlight the growing risks to shipping, oil markets and regional security as the U.S.-Iran conflict intensifies around Hormuz. #iran #usa #usiranwar #hormuz #straitofhormuz #mq9 #reaper #drone #irgc #iranwar #middleeast #trump #oil #gulf #missiles #geopolitics #breakingnews #war #usmilitary #iranattack Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www.timesnownews.com
