Controversy is erupting after Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir posted a video appearing to mock complaints from Palestinian female security prisoners over harsh conditions inside an Israeli prison. One prisoner claimed inmates had limited access to showers and water, faced repeated cell raids, and were not receiving adequate medical care. She also alleged that prisoners had gone three days without bathing or changing their underwear, warning of possible health risks. Ben Gvir responded by comparing the prisoners’ conditions with the treatment of Israeli hostages held in Gaza, while defending his tough prison policies. He said he was proud that conditions for Palestinian security prisoners had been reduced to what he called the “minimum of minimum,” declaring that the days of “summer camp” in Israeli prisons were over. The video has sparked fresh debate over the treatment of Palestinian prisoners and Israel’s prison policies. #BenGvir #ItamarBenGvir #PalestinianPris
