A deadly ferry tragedy has unfolded off northern Cyprus after a passenger vessel carrying 259 passengers and eight crew members capsized in rough seas. At least EIGHT people have been confirmed dead, while 18 others remain missing as a major search and rescue operation continues. The ferry reportedly encountered TWO powerful waves shortly after leaving Kyrenia, began taking on water, and eventually sank. Helicopters and coastguard boats rushed to the scene as rescuers pulled survivors from the sea. Authorities are now investigating what caused the disaster, with the captain and seven crew members detained for questioning. Investigators are also working to recover the vessel’s black box as officials examine whether poor weather, possible damage, or other factors contributed to the tragedy. #CyprusFerryTragedy #NorthernCyprus #FerryCapsizes #CyprusFerry #FerrySinks #FerryDisaster #CyprusNews #NorthernCyprusNews #FerryAccident #BreakingNews #SearchAndRescue #MissingPassengers #Ferry
