Sir James Cleverly has announced plans to become the Conservative candidate for Mayor of London in 2028, setting up a potentially serious challenge to Labour’s Sadiq Khan. Cleverly, a former Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary, says his campaign will focus on enterprise, opportunity and restoring London’s economic strength.
