The UK Government is extending the vote to 16 and 17-year-olds in all UK elections under the Representation of the People Bill. The reform will also allow young people to register from the age of 14, giving them time to be fully registered before they become eligible to vote. Supporters say the change will help young people participate in democracy, while critics question whether voting rights should be extended to teenagers.. Duncan Barkes speaks with former Labour spokesman, James Matthewson. Have you got a story?
