At the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Bishkek on Sunday for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2026 and a state visit to Kyrgyzstan. This is President Xi's third state visit to Kyrgyzstan. President Sadyr Japarov welcomed the distinguished old friend with a grand ceremony. For more than a decade, President Xi has held multiple meetings with Kyrgyz leaders, guiding China-Kyrgyzstan relations toward leapfrog development.
