Students from Nizhuhe Village in Xuanwei, southwest China's Yunnan Province, began their new term on August 30, riding cliff elevators and a cable car from the canyon floor to their mountaintop primary school. The system works like a ski lift, ferrying children up a 500-meter cliff face. A newly opened 288-meter elevator now runs alongside a 268-meter lift introduced in 2022. Together with shuttle vehicles and a cable car, the journey – once a grueling three-hour climb – now takes about 30 minutes. 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video Most watched videos: Impossible Challenge: 30 seconds to count banknotes BLINDFOLDE
