Here, Casin examines the impact of excessive screen use on learning, brain development, and critical thinking. It introduces neuroplasticity and emphasizes the importance of stimulating our minds through meaningful activities. It also addresses misinformation and AI-generated content, highlighting the need to question online information, develop critical thinking, and become more informed individuals. Today I want to talk about how we use our time. Many of us spend hours on social media instead of doing things that help us grow. Our brain can improve if we use it, but it weakens if we don’t. Also, not everything we see online is true, especially with AI. That’s why critical thinking is so important. So the question is: Will you keep wasting time on screens, or will you build a better future? This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
