Fresh violence has erupted in Sweida, southern Syria, after fierce clashes broke out between the National Guard and forces affiliated with the Syrian transitional government. Mortar shells, heavy machine guns and sustained gunfire were reported across the western countryside of Sweida, with both sides blaming each other for the escalation. The fighting comes despite a US-, Jordan- and Syria-backed roadmap aimed at stabilising the province, where the United Nations says confidence-building efforts have made no progress. #Sweida #Syria #SyrianCivilWar #BreakingNews #MiddleEast #Damascus #Druze #NationalGuard #SyriaConflict #WarNews #SouthernSyria #Geopolitics #MilitaryNews #MortarAttack #GlobalNews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
