The Supreme Court on Tuesday quashed FIRs registered across India in connection with student protests held from July 20 to 25, 2026. A bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant directed that the cases be treated as closed, while an exception was made for 2,873 people in Delhi identified as having serious criminal antecedents. The Centre and governments of Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Maharashtra had sought relief under Article 142. Following the order, CJP called off its proposed September 5 protest march in Delhi. #SupremeCourt #CJI #SuryaKant #StudentProtests #FIR #CJP #Delhi #NEETProtests #SupremeCourtIndia #BreakingNews #IndiaNews Thank you for watching our video!
