A real cloud support ticket: a Cyber Range member built a honeypot VM for the cyber defense lab, opened it up wide on purpose so it would get compromised, then posted that there just wasn't "enough honey in the honeypot" nobody was breaking in. I walk through the actual troubleshooting pulling up his VM, checking the network security group attached at the subnet level, which was correctly wide open, then digging into the second NSG attached directly to his VM, where the rule name said one thing and the actual settings said something else entirely and land on exactly why his "wide open" machine wasn't actually reachable, plus how to rebuild the rule so it is. ——— ⚡ Cyber Range Start your IT/Cyber Career — No Exp Req. ⚡ https://skool.com/cyber-range (Hands-On Real Environment) ——— 0:00 The Ticket: "Not Enough Honey in the Honeypot" 0:29 Why This Lab Needs All Inbound Traffic Open 0:50 The Member's Question: How Long Should This Take? 1:10 Checking the VM's Network Settings 1:31 Two NSG
